Our Greek tavern "TRIODI" through the twenty years of constant presence, has managed to be one of the most famous family tavern of the area. Our traditional cuisine is based on local traditional recipes. Moreover, all the vegetables we use from our garden, as well as the meat we use is local and fresh. We are able to create many delicious combinations which are carefully selected to satisfy our guests! Welcome to "Nikos Taverna" located on the beautiful, picturesque peninsula of Vassilikos in the village of Gerakas.
This pretty stone taverna is run by Nikos and his family who are waiting to give you a warm welcome and tempt you with their delicious cuisine.
The fare on offer is traditional home made Greek dishes with selected local specialities all prepared on the premises using the freshest, highest quality ingredients.
Try the kokkinisto (beef stew), the local traditional rabbit, mousaka, tzatziki, gemista (stuffed tomatoes or peppers), the charcoal grill, fishes or something else from our delicious menu, you are certain to return again!
Families are especially welcome at Nikos's Taverna and there are extensive gardens with a wonderful play area full of fun things to keep the kids occupied.

In December 2009 a fine little ristorantino opened up in Zakynthos.
“La Bruschettina” is exactly what you expect when you want to go to an Italian ristorante. It seats about 30 people. Its owner, Nino Fotis, also owns “La Bruschetta” in Keri, a restaurant well known to every holiday traveler on their way to Zakynthos. Zante’s ristorantino is La Bruschetta’s small off shoot in the main city of Zante island.
The menu boasts anything from home-made pasta to classical pizzas. A special delicacy: the filet of beef in balsamico sauce. The Italian cook leaves nothing to be desired, knowing exactly what friends of Italian cooking expect. Nino’s partner, Melanie, is German and responsible for the perfect table service and that the satisfied customers look forward to coming back. In the olive press that was built in 1903 by Farandos, farmers took their olive harvest and pressed the oil in the glow of oil lamps, hence the name of the tavern. It means “The oil lantern of Farandos. After the war, grapes were pressed in this building and in the late 60’s it was converted into a stable.
"To Ladofanaro tou Farandou" offers traditional Zakynthian dishes are offered which are cooked in clay pots and a wood stove. The ingredients come from their own farm. On the menu you can find dishes like fowl, rabbit and pork in a thyme sauce. The tavern offers space for up to 100 people inside, and outside for up to 50 people. In the summer you can sit under a beautiful pergola of grapevines. The backdrop is a beautiful setting of natural greenery and beautiful flowers. From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the village of Gerakari on the hills.
The family atmosphere of this place is ideal for various festivities such as weddings, birthdays and baptisms. Children are welcome and there is a small playground for them to play on the lawn while parents can relax and enjoy the evening, the tavern is far from any main road. This tavern is not yet overrun by tourists and is still an insider tip. You should also know that this tavern is open during the winter months, not only in summer. It should also be mentioned that Spiros Milonas speaks fluent German and English. He also spent several years in Switzerland.
It is located outside of the village of Galaro. Coming from Zakynthos town you have to drive in the direction of Agios Kirikos. From there just follow the signs to the tavern. Coming from Macherado you drive in the direction of Galaro and then follow the signs.

Zakynthos city. The famous beach of Gerakas is within walking distance. We are offering a varity of typical greek food. Our famous specials are the local specialities from the Zakynthos island.
